c] Seeking the vocabulary for human integrity – try some broken text…………..

WHENCE DO WE COME?

Where do you come from,
we ask each other
in our multi-cultural world?

Well, straight from my job,
back from my hols, just off the bus!!

But really, where do you come from?

Home I suppose, and thence,
say,
here on my mother’s side,
there by my father’s lineage;

but then from more distant places,
even far galactic origins,
and back, back until the past
is lit by star dust and
I’m descended from Big Bang.

Growing older I can see that
all before is part of me;
I bring my drop of star dust
to the now, and so to all
that still is yet to be.

Yours along the pilgrims’ costly way,
