POLITICAL ECONOMY IN THE LIGHT OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
Twin concepts tussle with each other,
both born a vision, each ethical, each moral;
struggling to mature in a culture
of socially acceptable cheating.
Call them a “Peoples Political Economy”,
and the concept of the “Kingdom of God”,
alerting us all to housekeeping of life on earth;
they alternate restlessly in strong light;
the penetrating knowledge of spirit and matter,
seen in stronger light, evokes ‘principled pragmatism’;
mutuality in confederation, founded in subsidiarity,
a way forward through gloom, averting climactic doom.
No force will combine them. Yet good will
and common good could blend them,
as we enter the system, to become the system
to change the system, marrying the pair.
We experience the appearance
of a real democracy, ubiquitously inclusive,
mutually accountable, possible, in the hard face
of so many seeming impossibilities, ready
to be reached with your participation,
your dialogue in the cafe society,
persuading all that their vote counts,
inter-independent decisions in emancipation

TRAIN OF THOUGHT ON TIME
Custom ebbs and flows,
culture clings tenaciously;
a psyche of self bestowed conceit,
closes our minds to change.
From habit to outreach
was once a natural path;
now it’s an uphill task,
seemingly impossible.
The trust we knew
in people and institutions
has withered in competition;
mistrust now stalks our streets.
What’s to be done?
First say ‘Can Do!’;
impossible is possible
for a voting democracy.
Longing to bring back trust,
we review the systemic scheme
knowing with ‘principled pragmatism’
that trust can be restored.
Rally to the Constitutionalists Charter:
in three elections more, or four, and
collaboratively, we will achieve
governance by people’s true democracy.
