 1. IMMEDIATE SUPPORT FOR ACTIVISTS

a] Fascinating Table last week – It was stimulating to meet Eoin McCarthy of the emergent Quaker’s Decision Trust. He told good things about the advance of the Quaker Business vision.  And we needed it because another at the Table, Tony Crawford, from Canada, reported on an ‘identity theft’ by his bank that left him a debt of $100,000 that he had never taken out. His extensive challenging through the courts and politicians led only to constant blockages and even threats against him and his wife. He has evidence that such ‘identity theft’ by banks has accrued a sum of $23 billion for the Canadian banks and that far greater sums would be depriving the taxpayer in the UK. He’s hoping to be with us again this Wednesady. I have his book ‘Contaging’.  Good if we could get a few more people to meet him.The need for Quaker integrity has never been greater.
