MATTERS IN THE AIR
1. We would greatly value reports on any of so many significant meetings of recent weeks, such as the new Putney Debates; and notes of dates ahead. Notes on their implications for our 2015CC initiative would help uis in the huge communication trask,
2. WE WILL CONTINUE to follow the course of the 2015 CONSTITUTIONALISTS CHARTER launched at Runnymede on Nov 5th.
Our London Global Table is a vital enabling partner in this ‘principled pragmatic’ initiative focused first on the Election in May 2015 – now less than six months away. A new Mission statement of the initiative will be finalised this week.
We still await many of the possible 197 responses to the questions below. If all recipients reply, we will have a significant understanding of the way forward. If you feel insufficiently informed of the project to answer, then let me know and I will send the introductory Package. Only 7 have replied in the week since the request was made.
1. Would you sign up to the initiative when the process for doing that is clear: Yes/No
2. Do you understand the relationship of the dense and comprehensive Charter at its present stage and the filling in of the detail now taking place? It might help to imagine accepting the value of an Atlas in hand before the content of each page becomes clear: Yes/No
3. Will you join in the search for Speakers and Candidates around the regions of England? Yes/No
4. Would you consider a donation, once off or by Standing Order, to fuel this huge voluntary effort? to “Launch 2105 Const UK” – Code 55-50-39 – Ac. No. 63414929, or to CCMJ: sortcode 07-00-93 Ac.No. 33333334 Ac.No./Ref. 1197/702170451: Yes/No.

3. The awareness of issues of devolution has spread so rapidly that our contribution has had to be made public more quickly than we anticipated. There has been such a particular flow this last week of information on the activities of associates of the Table, as to make it even clearer how our association is contributing to societal sanity: there has been valuable corespondence on key issues like; Devolution ; Implications of ‘Universality’, ‘Inclusiveness’, ‘Value and Dangers of Boundaries’, ‘How to be an umbrella and both invite and acknowledge all contributions’. Further insights on these matters would be gratefully received.
