 1. IMMEDIATE SUPPORT FOR ACTIVISTS

a] ReMONEY and LIFE http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/money-life/  [86mins]  Money and Life is a passionate and inspirational essay-style documentary that asks a provocative question: can we see the economic crisis not as a disaster, but as a tremendous opportunity? Its fine with one fault – Deposits don’t precede credits.

b] Information about the status of the law suit Bill Krehm  and his organization COMER (Committee on Monetary and Economic Reform) have in process. It is a constitutional demand that our government be required to use our Central Bank as statute enables  to finance Canada in part as done after WW2. Under the leadership of Paul Hellyer ,joined with COMER,  another legal challenge is in process to prevent Canada signing away our sovereign control over our money as required under an international treaty with the european union ,CETA. Both lawsuits are  messages of hope  resisting  economic slavery,  a reminder that around the world efforts in  defence of economic sovereignty are in process , and that  viable sustainable options exist.

c] Richard Wilkinson: How Economic Inequality Harms Societies (TED video) Comment from Critical Thinking : Wilkinson concludes with some proposals as to what we need to do about it. At face value, these seem sensible but ignore the fundamental nature of our economic system which drives inequality and many other problems. His prescriptions are trying to reverse the inevitable consequences of structural incentives and biases built into the economic system. It would be far better to address these structural flaws at their root.
