London Global Table  4th Dec. 2013

   ‘MATTERS IN THE AIR’

We seek ways to communicate the significance of

  • LAND:    The economic rent of all nature provided resources to be the source of public revenue
  •    MONEY:    The currency (money) of a society is to be issued on behalf of the people of that society debt/interest free.
  • ·  A BASIC MEANS OF LIVELIHOOD for all    A welfare security provision in the form of a living income is to be sourced for every citizen as of right—unconditionally.

This replaces the current means-testing bureaucratic arm of the state.

LETTERS TO PRESS ETC.

a] Prem Sikka has an article on The Guardian website which comments on the post-crash Banking Bill going through parliament. Needless to say the government is appeasing corporate elites and is not tackling major issues. Within the limited space available to me I have suggested five minimalist reforms.

The article is titled “Five tips for George Osborne on banking reform”. It is available at  http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/nov/26/five-tips-for-george-osborne-on-banking-reform

You are most welcome to add your comments and stimulate debates. As always, there is more on the AABA website
