We are exploring the interplay of a Constitution, the Governance that responds to it, through structures of deliberative democracy and accountable Government.

Please visit the website http://www.globaltable.org.uk/wp and make your suggestions or offers for help in its functioning. Mary Fee is tireless in her encouragement of me to improve it… and I fall short… therefore cri de coeur for greater involvement by associates – not least because Peter Selby gives us a huge boost in the preface of his new book and we might therefore expect responses.
Note added by Mary: Peter is constantly breaking new ground, and help is sought with archiving and re-organising of the material which is presented in the long series of posts, to make it more accessible. Familiarity with the subject-matter (or willingness to explore), is more important then technical expertise, which can be taught to anyone not already familiar with the workings of wordpress. NB in my opinion, this project would be worthy of at least an MSc Qualification, if not a PhD, and I’m sure that Peter and myself would be willing to give guidance in the submission of such a project, and to provide ongoing supervision.

Our STRATEGY is to seek ways to communicate the quintessential significance of :
– LAND: The economic rent of all nature provided resources to be the source of public revenue – thus undermining the false rentier economy :

– MONEY: The currency of society is to be issued on behalf of the people of that society interest free [given agreed costs] as a trust based public utility – ending commercial profiteering from a badly needed public trust utility:

– A BASIC MEANS OF LIVELIHOOD for all. A welfare security provision in the form of a living income is to be sourced for every citizen as of right—unconditionally. This replaces the costly current means-testing bureaucratic arm of the state :
– CORPORATE PERSONHOOD – challenging this dangerous legal fiction.

DEVOLUTION AWARENESS DAY or DEMOCRACY REVISITED – A CALL TO ACTIVE DEVELOPMENT
To endorse the emergent theme of four nations United in developing devolution, I send a two-page flyer attachment, Centralised or People’s Power – the outcome of the new collaboration in commitment to action as we approach May 2015. Please READ THE FLYER and register your specific interest with me or Ray Sheath. Best to read the blue, green, yellow side first,with its positive commitment to action … and then the red and blue – the latter stating the scale and power of the extant culture. We need local Speakers and Independent Candidates. We need sustained dialogue wherever we can generate it. This is a giant step in the evolution of a comprehensive political economy – that is – in democratic housekeeping by the nations of the British Isles.

PPS: Dear Associates of CCMJ
Hard on the heels of my sending out the notice of the initiative in direct democracy, the two-page flyer pointing to the 2015 Constitutionalists Charter, came the attached sermon yesterday by Hugh_outsourcing_essentials_st_matt 21.9.2014. I beg you to read the sermon as an incentive to study the Charter carefully and make your comments…..
The sermon reads as a lightly presented, stern challenge to be active in our witness. –
The Charter is a dense and more difficult statement, attempting to translate our citizen’s witness into a moral, ethical political economy. It has woven into it all the elements of the Strategy and Tactics that we have been exploring and expressing from CCMJ’s open outreach – the London Global Table – and its dialogue with other thinkers and agencies.
I believe that the Election Movement represented in the Charter is a bold attempt to witness in the political economy set deliberately against a time-table of May next year. – a short term, concerted effort to see what we can learn following DEVOLUTION DAY Sept 19th
